The SEI Awards
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland’s mission is to spark social change by identifying, investing in, and supporting some of Ireland’s most exceptional emerging leaders and the organisations they launch. At Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) we believe that new and innovative solutions exist to the myriad of social and environmental challenges we face today. We believe that these solutions will be most effective when driven by individuals who adopt a highly entrepreneurial approach to their activities, i.e. by social entrepreneurs. That is why we support people, not organisations. Our Awards programme aims to help these social entrepreneurs grow their ideas from concept to reality.

Level 1 Awards are suitable for applicants who are at the early stages of development of their project, typically at proof-of-concept/pilot stage. A Level 1 Award lasts for 12 months. Awardees receive €5,000 plus practical support and training and access to the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Network. In 2008 our target is to make 25 Level 1 Awards.
